All of our stainless wire is made from 316 and 304 stainless steel. Our wire rope product line also includes both Black PVC Coated Wire & White PVC Coated Wire. We also offer a complete line of Wire Rope Accessories including Wire Rope Cutters, Turnbuckles, Clips, Sleeves, Swage Turnbuckles & Terminals.
316 welding performance is better than 304, and because 316 stainless steel contains molybdenum, the resistance to pitting corrosion in the marine and chemical industry environment is much better than 304 stainless steel.

Wire rope is commonly comprised of wire strands that form a helix pattern. Especially dependable, wire rope is perfect for marine environments since its elasticity and length stay consistent in either wet or dry conditions.
At Stainless Cable Solutions, we're committed to manufacturing the highest-grade stainless steel rail anchors at the best prices possible. And since no two stainless railing application are alike, we let you utilize the most appropriate hardware for any stainless railing installs ranging from residential to industrial.
The differences between a 316L and a 316 straight grade are two-fold both in chemistry and mechanical properties. The L grade has a lower maximum carbon limit and the straight grade has increased mechanical properties.
316L, however, is a better choice for a project that requires a lot of welding because 316 is more liable than 316L to weld decay, though 316 can be annealed to resist weld decay. 316L also is a great stainless steel for high-temperature, high-corrosion uses, which is why it's so popular for use in construction and marine projects.
We are thrilled to announce the expansion of the Stainless Steel Cable Tie product line. The ties are manufactured from non-magnetic 316 or 304 Stainless Steel for extra corrosion resistance

1/4″ Pre-Cut 316 Stainless Steel Cable. The 1/4″ Pre-Cut 316 Stainless Steel Cable is factory cut 7 x 19 strand aircraft cable commonly used on boat lifts, small diameter pulleys, sailboat rigging, winches, and control cables. 7 x 19 strand stainless steel cable is best all-around cable for most applications. Superior corrosion resistance.
304 316 Stainless Steel Ball Lock Cable Ties for Heavy Duty Usage: Stainless steel cable ties is the most effective way of securing cable and pipe.
Grade 304 material is commonly used for stainless steel bundling applications and suits most general purpose requirements. It features the ability to withstand most environmental conditions, particularly in applications where vibration, general weathering, radiation and temperature extremes are a concern.
304 stainless steel is affordable and will work in most railing application, especially indoor railing projects. We recommend 316 stainless steel if your outdoor railing will be in a demanding marine environment (on or very near to the ocean/salt water).

The two most common stainless steel grades are 304 and 316. The key difference is the addition of molybdenum, an alloy which drastically enhances corrosion resistance, especially for more saline or chloride-exposed environments. 316 stainless steel contains molybdenum, but 304 doesn’t.
The cable is advertised on this site as 316 alloy stainless. The spool I received was strongly attracted to a magnet. 316 is a non-magnetic alloy.
We supply many of our Stainless Steel products in a choice of two grades; 304 (also known as 1.4301 or V2A) and 316L (also known as 1.4404 or V4A). It is extremely difficult to visually differentiate between the two steel types.
